PT Medco Power Indonesia, through its subsidiary PT Mitra Energi Batam, once again brought a meaningful impact to the community through the “Karyawan Mengajar” (Employee Teaching) program, held on 4–6 August 2025 at SMK Negeri 11 Batam.
Coinciding with the school’s Orientation Week (MPLS), the program welcomed more than 400 new students equipping them with valuable and relevant knowledge.
Over the three days program, employees stepped into classrooms to deliver essential topics such as HIV/AIDS awareness, drug prevention, climate change, operation and maintenance of power plants, workplace safety and proper use of fire extinguishers (APAR). These sessions combined presentations, simulations, and Q&A discussions, enabling students not only to receive information but also to actively participate.
“We believe that a company’s contribution must be tangible and directly felt. One way to achieve this is by bringing our employees into schools to share technical knowledge, professional experience, and safety values, giving students first-hand insights into the world of work in the power generation sector. At the same time, this program provides our employees with opportunities to enhance their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills, making it a mutually beneficial learning experience,” said Bapak Imron Gazali, Chief Operating Officer of Medco Power Indonesia.
Through the direct involvement of the employees, Medco Power Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to creating shared value that benefits both communities and the Company. The program also aligns with Medco Power’s broader transformation vision.
With a spirit of sustainability, Medco Power aims to continue expanding this program and integrating it into CSR initiatives across its operational areas—making it a true bridge of inspiration between education and the energy industry.
