The Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI), an organization that serves as a platform for clean energy sector players and stakeholders, held its 2025 National Conference (Munas) as the organization’s highest forum. The event took place at the PLN Auditorium in Jakarta and was officially opened by the Director General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE), Eniya Listiani Dewi. She emphasized the crucial role of METI in achieving the 23% renewable energy mix target by 2025.
During the National Conference, all METI Chairpersons for the 2022–2025 period submitted their accountability reports, including the organization’s financial report, which was audited and received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP). The report was fully accepted by the conference participants, reaffirming METI’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and good organizational governance.
Medco Power Indonesia demonstrated its commitment through the involvement of its President Director, Bapak Eka Satria, who served as one of the METI Chairpersons for the 2022–2025 period. During his tenure, Bapak Eka Satria made significant contributions to various initiatives, including the organization of EBTKE Conex, the largest national renewable energy sector event, which successfully brought together the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, and various cross-sector stakeholders.
“Joining the METI management has provided an opportunity for Medco Power to help drive the national energy transition agenda. This is not just a contribution to the energy sector but also our commitment to delivering clean energy solutions for future generations, said Bapak Eka.
As part of the series of activities, METI bestowed the title of Honorary Member upon several national figures recognized for their outstanding dedication, contributions, and commitment to promoting clean energy development in Indonesia. They include Hilmi Panigoro (President Director of MedcoEnergi), Rachmat Gobel (Member of the House of Representatives, President Director of Panasonic Gobel Group), Supramu Santosa (Founder & Chairman of PT Supreme Energy), as well as Anton S. Wahjosoedibjo (Honorary Member of MKI & METI Advisory Board) and several other renewable energy figures.
The METI 2025 National Conference is an important moment for the organization to strengthen synergy between the government, business players, academics, and the wider community. For Medco Power, this forum also serves as a strategic platform to reaffirm the company’s commitment to supporting the acceleration of the energy transition through the development of sustainable renewable energy in Indonesia.
