Jakarta, May 26th, 2023. The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) awarded a grant to Medco Power for a feasibility study to help develop an approximately 111-megawatt (MW) wind power plant in West Sumbawa in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
This feasibility study will provide a detailed wind resource assessment, a preliminary geotechnical analysis, a power plant and interconnection system design, a grid integration study, a preliminary environmental and social impact assessment, a risk assessment, a cost and economic analysis, and an implementation plan. The wind power produced would provide clean energy to the regional grid in Indonesia which supports clean energy transition process in Indonesia.

At the same time, ths project will create opportunities for US solutions to be deployed in developing this wind power plant.”
