MEDCO POWER AND PTPS COLLABORATE TO DEVELOP GAS BASED ENERGY AND RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS IN CENTRAL SULAWESI

Jakarta, February 3, 2022 – PT Medco Power Indonesia (“Medco Power”) and PT Pembangunan Sulawesi Tengah (“PTPS”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a joint study in the context of developing gas-based energy and renewable energy in Central Sulawesi. PTPS is a Regional Owned Enterprise of Central Sulawesi Province which was established with the aim of developing the infrastructure and economy of Central Sulawesi.

The signing was held on Wednesday (2/2/2022) at the Dharmawangsa Hotel, Jakarta, witnessed directly by the Governor of Central Sulawesi, H. Rusdy Mastura, President Director of PTPS, Leomirnandi D. Karamoy, and President Director of Medco Power, Eka Satria, along with the management. PTPS and Medco Power.

At the event, Leomirnandi D. Karamoy said that this MoU was in line with the purpose of establishing PTPS, namely to grow and improve regional economic activities that have a broad impact on the people of Central Sulawesi and contribute to regional income for the welfare of the community.

In his remarks, H. Rusdy Mastura said, “Central Sulawesi is one of the provinces in Indonesia that has abundant natural resources. I hope this strategic project can make good use of natural resources in Central Sulawesi, and encourage economic development and improve the standard of living of people in Central Sulawesi.”

On the same occasion, President Director of Medco Power, Eka Satria said, “Medco Power is committed to supporting the development of gas-based energy supply and clean renewable energy in order to accelerate the achievement of government programs for clean and environmentally friendly energy. With this memorandum of understanding, I hope that Medco Power and PTPS can synergize in promoting the progress of gas infrastructure and renewable clean energy in Central Sulawesi.”
