PT Medco Power Indonesia through Medco Ratch Power Riau (MRPR) continues to strengthen its commitment to community health around its operational areas. MRPR delivered a series of assistance programs in Tuah Negeri Subdistrict, Pekanbaru, including electrification support, posyandu facility revitalization, provision of supplement nutrition, as well as medical equipment to enhance public health services.
This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative is designed as a strategic program that integrates Medco Power’s core competencies in the electricity sector with efforts the strengthen community-based primary healthcare services. Through the installation of electrical systems and permanent PLN meters, MRPR ensures that local health facilities can access safe and reliable energy to support more effective and uninterrupted service delivery.
As part of the revitalization of Posyandu Harapan Maju, the renovation included structural improvements, upgraded safety features, and conducted repainting work to create a more suitable, clean, and comfortable environment. This support was further complemented by the provision of various medical equipment to improve the quality of primary healthcare services for pregnant women, toddlers, and the elderly.
As part of an integrated nutrition approach, MRPR also distributed supplemental nutrition (PMT) to toddlers, pregnant women, and the elderly. The program supports efforts to prevent stunting and improve family health, while strengthening the role of posyandu as a community-based healthcare center at the subdistrict level.
All program activities were carried out in alignment with international sustainability standards, including the IFC Performance Standards and the ADB Safeguard Policy Statement, reflecting Medco Power’s commitment to responsible social management and to supporting the health and safety of communities surrounding its operational areas.
Director and Chief Operating Officer of PT Medco Ratch Power Riau, Bapak Imron Gazali, stated that the program represents a synergy between the company’s core business and the real needs of local communities.
