Medco Power Indonesia, through its subsidiary PT Medco Ratch Power Riau, carried out a series of community development initiatives in Industri Tenayan Sub-district in the end of December 2025, as part of its commitment to environment sustainability and improving urban waste management.
One of the key initiatives was the planting of more than 2,000 bamboo trees in the Industri Tenayan area, particularly in locations adjacent to the Siak River watershed. This program forms part of a nature-based solution aimed at strengthening environmental resilience, enhancing water absorption, and reducing the risks of flooding, landslides, and land degradation.
In addition to the conservation initiative, on the same day and at the same location, Medco Power also handed over waste transportation vehicles to the Industri Tenayan Waste Management Institution (LPS Industri Tenayan). The assistance was officially presented by the General Manager of PT Medco Ratch Power Riau, Ibu Febbyka Rachmanda, as part of the Company’s efforts to strengthen urban cleanliness management through community empowerment.
Chief Operating Officer of Medco Power Indonesia, Bapak Imron Gazali, emphasized that the program reflects the Company’s commitment to delivering tangible sustainability impacts at the community level. “Sustainability is not only about the environment, but also about engaging and empowering communities”.
